Merry Christmas to everyone! Or should I say Merry Chris-Moose!

Poinsettia Pins

Today is Christmas Eve, and this is my Poinsettia pattern.  Here is hoping that everyone reading this will have a safe and happy holiday, no matter what holiday you celebrate!

Winter Flowers

Every now and then, I get in a rut, if you can call it that. Here is a series of hats I did a few years ago in worsted weight yarn in a variety of colors and shades. I might have to dig this pattern out again and make some more. I remember that this is a very fun pattern to make.

Slouchy, Slouchy, Slouchy!

I just love slouchy hats. Here are a few that I have put together. The one above is from a silky wool in shades of pink. The other two are self-striping yarns.

Flapper hat

Just a bit of decoration on the side of a simple garter stitch hat. Add a buckle, some feathers and enjoy the stares!

Last of the Buckets (for now)

This yarn is not red -- it is SCARLET. This picture doesn't give it justice. It is a very, very bright red. I added the black trim to make it even brighter. Although the hat is knitted, I crocheted the trim. I don't do a lot of crocheting. I don't have anything against crocheting; I just like knitting better.

Bucket of Blues

This is Knitpicks Chroma yarn and I just love the colors. Blues, grays, and purples! If you looked at my closet, you will see overwhelming shades of these colors. Like I said before, they are on my color chart. I am drawn to purples like a five-year-old girl to unicorns. So, obviously, this is now going on sale. This one is mine.

Continuing the Bucket List

A few days ago I said that I wanted to make more of the bucket hat, and for the last several days, that is exactly what I have been doing. This is tweed worsted yarn and since I didn't know if I had enough to make the entire hat, I knitting a beige band. Turned out it was a good thing because I had just enough yarn to finish the hat. It did turn out a little big, but it is perfect for a guy.

The Key(hole) to Knitting

I used some wonderfully soft alpaca bulky yarn to make this keyhole scarf. This is mine. Since our house can get cold every now and then, I keep it by my recliner to put on as I am knitting. I really, really love it. And lavender is on my color chart!

Bucket list, or hat

This is commonly called a bucket hat. Once again, I made this a few years ago. I either gave it away to a friend, donated it to charity, or sold it at church. The pattern is called "A Better Bucket" and it was pretty each. I am going to have to make more of these.

Sure is cute.

Where is this hat pattern?

I wish I could find this pattern because I would like to make it again in other colors. It's on my computer somewhere.

I know I could search for it on Ravelry but I might have found this in a book from the library. In that case, I would have to accidentally come across it again. Alas.

Bronco Colors

Yeah, I know. The Broncos have not been very good this year and will obviously not be in the playoffs. But I am not a fair weather fan, so here is a basic slouchy hat in orange and blue.

Maybe next year ...

Every Once in a While ...

One of the things I like to do it follow a chart while knitting. However, I get tired of it fast and can only do it for a hat or fingerless. This hat turned out so beautifully that I might have to indulge a bit more.

Time for a Kitty Break!

Just in case you are tired of looking at pictures of my knitting, here are some pictures of my beloved kitties. Omi is the black one and Wookie is the Tortie. They are 4 and 5 years old now. They are the most affectionate cats I have ever had. Omi is a total people-cat. If we have visitors, she has to sit in their laps as soon as they sit down. Wookie is only my cat. We have had them for the 3 years, and Wookie is only starting to warm up to Ken. If we have visitors, she will sit at the edge of the room watching, but she will only come to my lap. They often sleep wrapped around each other.

I am absolutely nuts about my kitties!!

Celtic Scarf in Bright Blue

Here is more of that Amazing Lace yarn in Cobalt Blue. It is a celtic knot pattern so I have to mark every row as I go along. (And yes, I have yet to block it)  I have two more scarves in this lace in red and purple. The purple is almost done, so you will probably see it very soon.

Teal, not Blue

Remember a few days ago I told you about Lion Brand's yarn called Amazing Lace. I especially like the bright colors. This is actually a bright teal color, but it shows up more here as a blue. But it is TEAL!, bright teal.

Turning over a new leaf

I made this shawl for a friend's wedding last summer. I started it before the lockdown so she didn't have the big wedding she planned. However, this shawl was there and that it going to have to be enough.

Buffalo Girls will you come out tonight

As I reviewed some of my holiday catalogs, I noticed that buffalo plaid is very popular this year.

I made this hat last spring. I must be a trendsetter!
