Everyday Soft Worsted

US #9 needles

Gauge: 16 stitches/20 rows = 4" – Gauge is not critical because this
pattern has a lot of stretch.
Size: One size will fit some adults.
Cast on 40 stitches..
Work the broken rib stitch as follows:
Round 1 – Slip 1 stitch purlwise. k1, p1 to end of
the row.
Round 2 – Slip 1 stitch purlwise, p3, k1. *K1, P3,
K1* to end of row.

Continue the broken rib pattern until the gloves
measures 10½ inches.
Bind off loosely in pattern.
Using whip stitch, sew up 6 inches up the side
from the bottom. Break yarn. Sew 2½” from the top; break yarn. This will leave
2” for the thumb hole.
Weave in the ends.
Make second gloves the same way. Wear in warmth!
